Graphic Novels at HMCPL

A guide to help navigate our extensive graphic novel collection, broken down my genre and format.

Fantasy

Rose Red & Shere Khan, art by James Jean from Fables #8 (DC Comics, 2003)

Spotlighting titles in our collection of the Fantasy genre, which typically deals with strange creatures, magic, supernatural occurrences, myths and fairy tales  - although generally shy away from anything too macabre or scientific. Comic books have always drawn heavily in folklore in general and many fantasy books have been successfully adapted into the comics medium. The sword & sorcery sub-genre is especially plentiful, such as the adventures of Conan the Barbarian.

Scrolling down on the left-hand side will show complete runs of multi-volume series for binge reading as well as books in the Neil Gaiman's "Sandman" universe.

♦ Each Letter has tabs for both "Modern" (post 2000), "Vintage" (pre-2000), & Manga when applicable♦
