HMCPL Special Collections: Research & Scanning Services

HMCPL Special Collections is the community's archive. We empower individuals to seek their past, explore Huntsville and Madison County, and connect with history.

Research from Home

We now offer a research service! If you are unable to visit the library to conduct research, we can perform research inquiries on your behalf.

Research Service: $5.00 per inquiry.

If you would like to use our research service, fill out one of the below forms. Please read the instructions on the form carefully.

Scanning Service

Special Collections offers a scanning service that allows individuals to share their records, while keeping their originals.

How it works:

  • Tell us about your records
  • Set up date - Staff can come to your house to scan or the records can be temporarily loaned to the library for scanning.
  • Staff do all the work for free!
  • You keep your records, and we keep a digital copy of the records to make available for research.
