A list of locations across Madison County that provide food assistance and meals.

On the third Saturday of each month from 9-11am, St. Stephen's distributes 3 pounds of uncooked rice and 2 pounds of uncooked pinto beans to anyone in need. Bags include other non-perishable food items. We do not ask questions or take any names!

The Food Pantry is located at 5414 Main Drive in New Hope, AL. It’s open to the community each Monday and 2nd Saturday from 9 AM – NOON.

The Caring Link meets the needs of local students by providing essential items—including clothing, coats, shoes, school supplies, food assistance, and toiletries—through the establishment and maintenance of onsite Care Closets within Madison County, Alabama schools and surrounding areas.

If your loved one spends part of their day in a care program, the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) can help provide access to nutritious meals and snacks.

The Food Assistance Division administers the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) in Alabama.

The FOODline pantry ministry coordinates among 15–20 congregations that have food pantries to provide emergency food to families in immediate need.

Free vegan meals for those in need every Friday at 5:30pm at Butler Green Park.

The USDA has made available a new program called the Community Eligibility Program (CEP). By participating in this program, a school or school district may serve free breakfast and free lunch to all students.

All Huntsville City Schools, except those noted below, participate in the CEP Program.

Parents of children at the above four schools are encouraged to submit a free & reduced-price meal application below.

Parents at all other schools do not have to fill out a free and reduced application this year.

A new application must be completed each school year to qualify for free or reduced meals.

Madison County residents needing help with shelf-stable food items, are welcome to visit a HAP Emergency Food Pantry location for groceries. Three locations in Huntsville, Madison, and Toney.

Meals on Wheels provides nutritious meals to homebound seniors.

Nutrition centers throughout Madison County are helping serve seniors in our rural community. These neighborhood locations make it possible for seniors to have a hot, nutritious lunch at a center not far from home.

One Generation Away is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has been feeding bellies and souls since 2013. Founded by Chris and Elaine Whitney, OneGenAway rescues high-quality, surplus food from grocery stores, restaurants, farms, and caterers and redistributes that food to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.

The Pantry at Shenanigans was created by passionate volunteers and driven by community need. Thank you to those that have made this possible. The People's Patch is located at 3701 Meridian Street in Huntsville, AL. It is a u-pick farm that provides fresh produce to Madison County residents at no cost from dawn to dusk. So, bring your bag and harvesting tools, and pick enough for you and your family to enjoy!
