Additional Skills Checklist

1. The child can spend an extended period of time (the length of the school day) away from his/her parents. 

2. The child can care for his or her own toilet needs. 

3. The child can tell a story using the pictures in a book (try wordless picture books). 

4. The child understands cause and effect. 

5. The child can bounce a ball, button a snap button, and zip a zipper.
