Elvira, Mistress of the Dark (1988) -

Featuring everyone's favorite horror hostess with the mostess!

 Elvira inherits a spooky mansion from her deceased aunt along with a spellbook and a sassy poodle, though when she moves into town she runs afoul of her conservative neighbors.

Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975) -

A cult classic phenomenon about a newly-wed couple stumbling across a mad scientist and his latest experiment after their car breaks down.

Full of music, fashion and stars like Tim Curry, Meatloaf, Susan Saradon, Barry Bostwick and more, this is a must see movie that lampoons kitschy sci-fi and horror movies.

House on Haunted Hill (1959) -

A classic William Castle movie starring Vincent Price!

Price and his wife host a party where the guests will be given $10,000 each for spending the night in a haunted house, although things go bad quickly as ulterior motives are revealed.

 

A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) -

My favorite of the 80's slasher movies, with the quippy Freddy Krueger!

 A janitor killed years ago by the parents of children he preyed on returns to exact his revenge, in the one place they can't be protected - in their dreams!

Dracula (1931) -

The classic Universal Monster and iconic image of Dracula in pop culture.

Base on the book of the same name, it follows Dracula as he moves to England and besets Mina Harker and her household.and faces off against the vampire hunter Van Helsing.

Return of the Living Dead (1985) -

The zombie movie that introduced the concept of zombies eating brains!

A gas that reanimates the dead into indestructible killing machines is accidently released near a graveyard, trapping a band of punks, a mortician and the staff of a medical supply store. 

Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954) -

One of the Universal Classic Monsters and designed by Disney animator Millicent Patrick!

The Gill-Man, a missing link creature terrorizes scientists in the Amazon.

Last Man on Earth (1964) -

Based on the book I Am Legend, it has been adapted into film in this movie, Omega Man and I Am Legend.

Starring Vincent Price as a scientist as one of the last survivors in a post-apocalyptic wasteland haunted by vampire-zombie like creatures.

Killer Klowns from Outer Space (1988) -

A cheesy cult classic about homicidal clown aliens that cocoon humans in cotton candy and suck their brains out with curly straws.

Evil Dead II: Dead by Dawn (1987) -

Featuring the legendary B-movie actor Bruce Campbell and leading into the film Army of Darkness.

The story follows a group of people that unleash demonic evil in a remote cabin after reading from the Necronomicon.

My personal favorite Vincent Price movie!

The story follows the disfigured Dr. Phibes as he enacts revenge against a team of surgeons that failed to save his life using the Ten Plagues of Egypt to murder each one.

Dr. Phibes Rises Again (1972)  -

The sequel to The Abominable Dr. Phibes!

This movie follow's Phibes' journey to Egypt to find the River of Life to resurrect his wife and features Vincent Price singing 'Over the Rainbow' over the ending scene.

What We Do In the Shadows (2014) -

A mockumentary in the same vein as Spinal Tap or Best in Show and inspired a TV show.

A film crew follows around a group of vampires that share a house and their daily life.

Paranormal Activity (2007) -

Restarted the found-footage style craze!

Although made weaker with each sequel since, the original stands alone as a creepy unsettling film.

What makes the original great is it doesn't have a lot of backstory or over-explain the demonic possession.

A strange home purposefully meant for a black magic ritual houses several trapped ghosts. 

 

[REC] (2007) -

The original Spanish film that inspired the American movie Quarantine.

It follows a found footage style film about a reporter and a apartment building full of people locked down after a strange infection begins.

An obsessed scientist assembles a living being from parts of exhumed corpses. This was the second of the Universal Monster movies after the success of Dracula. 

24. [REC] (2007, Spain) -

A television reporter and cameraman follow emergency workers into a dark apartment building and are quickly locked inside with something terrifying. This movie was remade in the USA and renamed Quarantine. 

23. Night of the Hunter (1955, USA) -

A religious fanatic marries a gullible widow whose young children are reluctant to tell him where their real daddy hid $10,000 he'd stolen in a robbery.

22. Suspiria (1977, Italy) -

An American newcomer to a prestigious German ballet academy comes to realize that the school is a front for something sinister amid a series of grisly murders.
