How did they respond to the Japanese threat? What methods did the U.S. government use to persuade the American people to accept the war? What was the typical response of the American citizen? How many men volunteered for the war before the U.S. entered? How many men volunteered after? Did American citizens try to assist the escape of Jewish people from German occupied territories? If so, how?
