Q. Is the Library's WiFi free?

A. Yes.

 

Q. Do I have to have a library card to use the WiFi?

A. Not anymore. HMCPL changed to unrestricted access in April, 2011.

 

Q. Does the library track what I do on LibraryNet?

A. No. The Library does not track the sites or activities of users. The Library does monitor the amount of bandwidth in use.

 

Q. Is the WiFi filtered like the Internet on the public access computers?

A. Yes. For details on the categories of websites that might be blocked, please reference our Computer Use Policy.

 

Q. Can I access the library website without logging into the WiFi network?

A. Yes! You may view any pages on hmcpl.org without logging into the WiFi network. If you want to visit any other website besides the HMCPL page using our WiFi, you will have to be connected to the WiFi.
